Job Description

Role SummaryThe Corporate Accounting team is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization through accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and analysis. The team oversees the consolidated financial close process, ensures adherence to IFRS and internal polices, manages intercompany transactions, and supports audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting. Beyond compliance, the group provides strategic financial insights to senior leadership and partners with other departments to support transactions and financing initiatives.The roles focus is to support the team in the preparation and review of monthly reporting, account reconciliations, supporting the audit and tax filings. The selected candidate will gain exposure to IFRS-based accounting, multi-tier entity structures, and corporate reporting processes.Core ResponsibilitiesManage monthly financial reporting for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliancePrepare monthly consolidation and portfolio variance analysisPrepare journal entries for significant transactions such as property acquisitions, dispositions, and financingPrepare detailed management reports, including developing dashboards and synthesizing informationProcess distributions to unit holders and oversee fund management processes, including management feesUndertake the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting for multiple entities, including financial reports to Blackstone/Ivanhoe CambridgeAssist with compiling information to support the income tax returns prepared by Pure Industrials tax advisors and other regulatory filings, including Canadian and US reportingAssist with the year-end audit including preparation of annual consolidated financial statements, working papers and related analysisConduct performance analyses and forecasting and intercompany balancesDocument and improve processes and assist with preparing technical accounting memosEngage in continuous process improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of Pure Industrials reportingWork closely with the Corporate and the Property Accounting teams to ensure the integrity and consistency of accounting recordsSupport junior accountants in training and technical accounting guidanceAssist with special projects, as requiredRequired Skills and ExperienceProfessional accounting designation required (CPA, CA, CGA, etc.)Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role or public accounting roleStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to plan, organize and manage workSelf-starter who will take ownership of responsibilitiesFast learner, able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAble to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize deliverablesAdvanced Microsoft Word and Excel skill setExperience with complex corporate structures, intercompany transactions, and consolidations is an assetKnowledge of Yardi software is an assetBilingual in English and French is an assetOur people are what makes us different. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations.
