Sourcing Manager IT Category X26 Month Contract (Extensions likely)Downtown Toronto (Hybrid: 3 days in office) $70 $90 per hourOur client, a large Canadian financial services business, is looking for two Sourcing Managers to spearhead their technology procurement efforts. These six-month assignments focus on managing high-value, end-to-end deals that support the broader IT ecosystem.We are filling two distinct roles: one dedicated to IT Infrastructure and the other to IT Software and Professional Services. Reporting to the Director, you will be instrumental in balancing cost efficiency with the reduction of vendor-related risks.Core Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal leadership to design and execute negotiation plans for high-stakes, intricate sourcing projects.Oversee the entire procurement journey for IT assets, ensuring all technical and commercial agreements mirror the companys long-term objectives.Guide sourcing choices to encourage vendor alignment and realize significant cost-reduction or cost-avoidance targets.Put into practice forward-thinking strategies that deliver sustainable, budget-conscious solutions and maximize the return on vendor partnerships.Produce and present high-level insights for senior executives, translating technical deal complexities into actionable business strategies.Coordinate with Legal and Cybersecurity teams to mitigate vulnerabilities within physical and cloud environments, focusing on data sovereignty and service reliability.About You:You bring a minimum of five years of experience in the technology procurement space, specifically within the Infrastructure or Software categories.You have a demonstrated history of managing high-pressure, multi-million dollar commercial discussions where the stakes for the business are significant.You possess a sophisticated understanding of legal terminology and are capable of independently managing the redlining process for complex clauses.You are adept at presenting to and swaying C-suite and VP-level stakeholders through compelling narratives and clear business cases.You thrive in high-intensity environments and can navigate several major workstreams simultaneously without losing focus.Additional Information:This is an active, open vacancy.No Artificial Intelligence tools are utilized to filter or select candidates for this role.If you are a strategic procurement professional ready to make an immediate impact, please submit your application.
