About Your New Role Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Superintendent, Mill Operations, you will ensure the overall responsibilities and operational aspects of the Seabee Mill Operations Department are achieved with the highest standards of safety & production playing an integral part in the attainment of required standards. Your Key Responsibilities Provide safety leadership for a culture of safety and health of all employees working in and or with the Mill Operations Department. Lead the team in achieving Mill Operations targets consistent with corporate objectives. Ensure training and compliance requirements are achieved for all crew members. Develop and ensure operating systems are consistent with maintenance and project objectives. Create a culture of operating excellence, performance, and implementation of best practices. Identify and implement technological opportunities for continuous improvement and operational effectiveness. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Responsible for Mill Operations budget and forecast and reporting. Coordinate and collaborate with department leads to accomplish operational objectives. Oversee refining and pouring of gold bars, manage safe transport. Responsible for accurate reporting to all stakeholders regarding mill operations. Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in all Mill Operations areas. Lead the Metallurgy and Lab in achieving targets consistent to objectives. Maintain the ICMC Certifications and maintenance required of the mill. Monitor the reagents used in the mill to enhance the product. Responsible for all matters relating to personnel recruitment, development and corrective action. Any other duties as assigned by the department. Your Knowledge And Skills Solid commitment to safety. Strong leadership, management, communication and problemsolving skills. Knowledge of processes and equipment used in the recovery of gold. Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fastpaced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and interest. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of business applications. Your Education And Experience The successful candidate will have: Minimum ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in a mill operations environment. Previous supervisory experience. Recognized postsecondary degree in Engineering is considered an asset. About Our Working Conditions This position has a schedule of 14 days on, 14 days off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in/fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
