Jobtitle: Senior Business Analyst ERP & Engineering Systems We're looking for a technically grounded Senior Business Analyst with handson experience in industrial, automation, or engineeringtoorder environments. In this role, you will be embedded with our engineering department to lead ERP and PDM/CAD system optimization, drive operational data integrity, and implement scalable digital workflows that support our custom machinebuild process, from order intake through to production and delivery. This is not a traditional business analyst role. You'll work directly alongside engineers and operations teams, and your success will depend on your ability to understand technical workflows, speak the language of manufacturing, and translate complex system requirements into practical, maintainable solutions. Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 CAD*Requests outside of the salary range is available and determined by interview process*. Systems Integration & Engineering Workflow Optimization Lead ERP optimization and process redesign initiatives within an engineeringtoorder manufacturing environment, ensuring system configurations reflect how custom projects are scoped, built, and delivered. Drive the integration of ERP, CAD, and PDM systems to ensure seamless data flow across engineering, production, and project management workflows. Reconcile legacy system configurations and implement forwardlooking solutions aligned with engineeringled business objectives. Identify and eliminate redundant workflows, shadow spreadsheets, and manual tracking practices that create data fragmentation across departments. Establish scalable system architecture to support business growth and increasing project complexity. Data Integrity & Reporting Governance Establish and enforce a structured single source of truth framework across ERP, CAD, PDM, and reporting systems. Lead data governance controls to ensure reporting accuracy and system integrity across the engineering and operations lifecycle. Implement system controls to prevent duplicate data entry and fragmentation between departments. Redesign reporting structures to surface actionable, realtime performance indicators replacing static, manually compiled reports. Evaluate and implement AIenabled and intelligent reporting tools that enhance operational visibility and decision speed in a manufacturing context. Develop realtime data frameworks that replace lagging reports with live, systemdriven metrics. Define measurable digital transformation KPIs and track progress against implementation milestones. Recommend nextgeneration digital technologies that support continuous improvement, automation, and accountability across engineeringtoorder workflows. Information Security & Access Management Implement bestpractice ERP and digital workflow security protocols, including rolebased access controls to safeguard engineering IP, product data, and customer records. Establish structured data traceability and access governance aligned with industry standards, ensuring audit readiness and protection of confidential information. Act as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, finance, and executive leadership translating operational needs into system requirements and actionable improvements. Oversee change control, release management, and system performance optimization across connected platforms. Provide structured technical governance for digital initiatives, managing external vendors and solution providers to ensure aligned, ontime delivery. Implementation, Validation & Change Management Develop and execute structured system, functional, and user acceptance testing strategies for ERP and integrated engineering systems. Prepare and deliver clear training materials and documentation to drive adoption across technical and nontechnical teams. Manage project timelines, budgets, and implementation milestones with a handson, accountabilitydriven approach. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in ERP system integration, business systems, or technical project delivery preferably within a manufacturing, industrial automation, or engineeringtoorder environment. Direct experience working alongside or embedded within an engineering department; comfort navigating technical workflows, BOMs, project structures, and CAD/PDM systems. Demonstrated ability to integrate CAD and ERP systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM or equivalent). Proficiency in Python, SQL, or ERP data query tools to support system analysis and reporting. Strong change management skills with a track record of training and aligning crossfunctional teams on system updates. Engineering degree or technical diploma is a strong asset; candidates with a background in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering are especially encouraged to apply.
