Maintenance Planner/Scheduler IIILocation: Nanticoke, ONType: Contract IntroductionBrunel is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler III to develop detailed job plans for mechanical resources according to turnaround schedules and work lists. The incumbent will develop field execution work planning packages for mechanical resources engaged in repairs and construction of fixed equipment, electrical, instrumentation, rotating equipment, analyzers, and other related equipment.ResponsibilitiesPerform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunitiesDevelops detailed job plans that include the following steps, durations, material, and equipment needs and cost estimates:Resource requirementsSafety PlansEfficient job tasking to guide field crewsRepair proceduresAssociated drawings and specificationSequence of schedulingMaterial & equipment needsGantt chart for complete jobTotal hoursCost estimateBecome knowledgeable of Company Turnaround ProceduresCoordinate planning resources in accordance with turnaround specifications, cost estimates, schedules, safety requirement, quality requirements, various procedures, standards, practices, etc.Work with the Scheduler and execution to provide general coordination and monitor the progress of turnaround activities per the job plans and worklistsCoordinate multi-craft job plans with other craft specific plannersUpdate plans with any approved change orders and develops new plans that arise during the turnaround Communicate daily with execution supervision during various phases of the turnaround to understand effectiveness of plan Analyze and recommend resolutions of work problems and execution in solving work problemsAdjust plans with feedback from executionWalk down Job Packages and verify with prints and drawingsPerform pre-start up safety reviewCreate punchlists from pre-start up safety reviewsConfirm with execution the progress of key turnaround milestonesDevelop detailed milestone plans and submits to schedulerManage detailed line item work listInclude job plans for resources to support operations shutdown and start up plansPerform critical and near critical path analysisWork directly with scheduler to finalize and optimize integrated event or turnaround scheduleValidate work steps and durations with team members and contractorsParticipate in Integrated Event and turnaround reviews (IR/TRs) and reports per Turnaround Milestone SchedulePrepare review documentationParticipate in planning and scheduling Peer AssistsVerify the following are completed:Contractor execution of plan (work packages)Bid Award contractsContractor selection and evaluationLong lead and short term materials are orderedOpen work orders for disciplines as required by plansMaintain a logistics and security planDevelop a site mobilization / preparation plan and demobilization plan, including remove surplus materials and temporary trailersConduct post turnaround walk throughIncorporate of best practices and MEV technologiesVerify effective communications are maintained during various phases of turnaround including:Scope changesField change ordersBudgetsCritical PathUtilization of contractorsProgressing and look-ahead schedulesSteward schedules and updates throughout the processPrepare package tasking details to guide field crews to perform safe and efficient field repairsSkills and QualificationsPrevious experience in a closely related positionSafety Champion portrays a personal example of excellent safety, performance, mindset, and commitmentExtensive knowledge of various mechanical skills (pipe fitting, welding, boiler making, electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, X-ray techniques and interpretation)Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, isometrics, P&IDsAbility to understand field changes and red-line drawingsAbility to coordinate various mechanical resources according to schedule and planGood teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with multiple workgroupsAbility to communicate quickly and effectivelyIntermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and OutlookFamiliar with MOC process and PSSR (pre-startup safety reviews) processBasic safety training and/or site-specific trainingDemonstrate the belief that accidents are preventable by including safety in assigned work activitiesCreate and share personal safety plan with work groupFacilitate and participate in safety meetingsDemonstrate understanding of and verify compliance with safety standards, work practices, work permit requirements, and various safety systemsTrained to safely access field areas to observe work being performedTrained/fit-tested on usage of SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) equipment and various respirators as neededTrained in use of standard PPE (hard hat, gloves, eye, and hearing protection)Trained to access scaffolds and ladders using fall protection PPE as neededWhat We OfferWhy work with Brunel?
