We specialize in complex, high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing and are looking to strengthen our quoting and estimating capability with an experienced manufacturing professional.Job OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing Quoting Specialist with direct experience preparing quotes for fabricated and machined parts. This role is focused on accurate cost development, manufacturability assessment, and collaboration with production teams, within a modern, technology-driven manufacturing environment.This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of manufacturing operations, utilizing your analytical skills to drive business success.Is This an Existing Vacancy?: Yes this posting is for a current, existing vacancy.Use of AI: We use artificial intelligence tools to help screen applications during the hiring process.ResponsibilitiesReview customer RFQs, drawings, CAD models, and specifications to prepare detailed, accurate manufacturing quotes.Analyze manufacturability and define routing, materials, operations, and subcontract processes.Build and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and operation-based cost breakdowns.Develop pricing using labor estimates, machine cycle times, material costs, outside processing, overhead, and margin targets.Use spreadsheets extensively to analyze costs, compare scenarios, and support pricing decisions.Interpret tolerances and GD&T requirements to assess complexity, risk, and cost impact.Use internal quoting platforms and digital systems to generate pricing and lead times.Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to validate assumptions and improve quote accuracy.Support continuous improvement of quoting standards, templates, and cost models.SkillsDiploma, Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial disciplines.2+ years of direct experience quoting or estimating in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication, CNC machining, or similar).Demonstrated experience building and analyzing multi-level BOMs.Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools (complex formulas, cost roll-ups, scenario analysis).Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.Practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, and finishing processes.Clear understanding of shop-floor operations and real-world manufacturing constraints.High level of comfort with modern computer systems and manufacturing software; ability to quickly adopt new digital tools and workflows.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to clearly explain pricing logic to internal teams.AssetsExperience with ERP, MRP, or digital manufacturing quoting systems.Experience working in data-driven or continuously improving manufacturing environments.Accommodation Requirements: We are committed to providing accessible employment practices and will provide accommodations upon request for any part of the application process.
