Theyre seeking a Planning and Forecasting Advisor to join their team in Calgary.About the RoleThe Planning and Forecast Advisor supports the integration, maintenance, and analysis of the Phase 2 Project Schedule. The role focuses on schedule data consolidation, workstream forecast analysis, data validation and verification, and structured reporting support. Working under the guidance of Planning & Reporting Lead, the role provides a strong foundation for developing planning capability within a large, complex capital project environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPhase 2 Schedule Integration SupportSupport the integration of workstream schedules into the Phase 2 Integrated Project Schedule.Assist in consolidating schedule updates, forecasts, and milestone changes from multiple workstreams.Support tracking of interface milestones and schedule logic alignment under guidance.Schedule Analysis & Forecast SupportAssist with schedule performance analysis based on workstream forecast updates.Support identification of variances, emerging trends, and potential schedule impacts.Prepare initial analysis outputs and summaries for review by Planning Reporting Lead and workstream Project Services Manager.Data Validation & Quality AssuranceSupport data validation and verification of schedule updates and progress inputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.Check alignment between schedule data, reported progress, and agreed planning assumptions.Maintain planning data logs, assumptions registers, and update trackers.Reporting & Planning OutputsSupport preparation of planning and schedule reporting materials, dashboards, and visuals.Assist with updating schedule KPIs and progress summaries using agreed templates and tools.Ensure timely incorporation of inputs into reporting cycles.Execute assigned planning tasks in line with established planning processes and controls.Seek guidance from senior planners and Experience:Earlycareer experience or exposure to project controls, planning, scheduling, or related disciplines.Having 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry preferably with LNG projects (FEED/LNTP, Detailed engineering and execute phases)Experience working as a planner on mega projects in execution phase will be an advantage.Minimum of bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.Analytical mindset with strong data handling and coordination skills.Good listening, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Working on different geographical location and time-zone.Technical Capabilities:Schedule Integration SupportAbility to support integration of multiple workstream schedules into an Integrated Project Schedule.Basic understanding of schedule logic, milestones, dependencies, and interfaces.Ability to consolidate schedule updates and forecasts using agreed structures and templates.Schedule Analysis (Foundational)Ability to perform basic schedule analysis, including:Variance identification between baseline and forecastMilestone movement trackingSimple trend and progress assessmentsSupport preparation of analysis outputs for Planning Lead & Reporting/Project Services Manager review.Data Validation & AssuranceAbility to validate and verify schedule and progress data received from workstreams.Checks for completeness, consistency, and alignment with planning assumptions.Maintains data integrity across schedules, dashboards, and reports.Planning Tools & SystemsWorking knowledge of project planning and reporting tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Excel, Power BI or equivalent).Ability to extract, update, and manipulate schedule data for reporting and analysis purposes.Willingness and capability to learn additional planning systems and digital tools.Reporting & Data VisualizationAbility to support preparation of schedule KPIs, dashboards, and progress visuals.Supports monthly reporting cycles by ensuring accurate and timely data inputs.Familiarity with structured reporting templates and data governance requirements.Execution Under GuidanceAble to execute assigned planning tasks accurately within defined processes and
