Overview An Overview Of Your Future Role At BBA: As a Senior Engineer in the Digital Power Systems team, youll support delivering cutting-edge digital substation solutions for the renewable energy, mining and heavy industry sectors. This role is ideal for a doersomeone who can apply their technical knowledge and help grow our presence in the British Columbia region and beyond. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada. Carry out engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems Play various roles, like project manager, project leader and proposal leader Prepare competitive and value-added proposals Manage project work packages, schedules, budgets and teams Design protection diagrams (logic and control diagrams) Design substation HMI/SCADA architecture and configuration Configure intelligent electronic devices (relays, substation controllers, and more) Head test at BBAs digital power systems lab Lead and coordinate the commissioning of digital power systems Transfer technical knowledge to colleagues in BBAs offices across Canada Promote expertise at client meetings and by drafting technical documents, blog articles, white papers and more Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field At least 10 years of experience in power systems Available to travel to our other offices and client locations across Canada Knowledge of the latest applicable technologies for electrical substations Knowledge of power system communication protocols (MMS/GOOSE/SMV/DNP3) Knowledge of how to configure protection relays and HMI/SCADA systems Knowledge of IEC 61850 settings (manufacturing tools, system configuring tools) Knowledge of telecommunications (Ethernet networks, PTP, PRP/HSR, cybersecurity) Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays Asset: graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field An Overview Of BBAs Total Rewards Annual base salary $121,200 - $148,200 Annual premium program for regular employees Onsite mobility premium Time bank Cellphone fee reimbursements Group insurance plan from the first day of employment, including disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave Premium for employee referrals BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
