Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SSRS Consultant to design and deliver enterprise-grade reporting solutions across business-critical systems. This is a client facing role focuses on building high-performance, pixel-perfect reports while working closely with data engineering and business teams to enable actionable insights. You will play a key role in supporting enterprise reporting ecosystems , including integration with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP systems, and modern data platforms. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Consulting Experience Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate reporting requirements into technical solutions Lead requirement workshops and reporting discovery sessions to identify KPIs, metrics, and data needs Present reporting solutions, dashboards, and insights to client teams, including business and leadership stakeholders Provide recommendations on report design, usability, and data visualization best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, application teams, business users) to ensure alignment and delivery Support client decision-making by ensuring reports deliver actionable and accurate insights Manage client expectations, timelines, and communication throughout the reporting lifecycle Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting solutions and processes Report Development & Optimization Design, develop, and deploy scalable reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Build pixel-perfect, drill-down, and parameterized reports aligned to business requirements Optimize report performance, including query tuning and dataset optimization Implement reusable report components and standardized templates. Data Engineering & SQL Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions Work with large-scale datasets ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance Collaborate on ETL processes and data pipelines supporting reporting solutions. Integration & Ecosystem Integrate SSRS reports with enterprise applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP systems, web platforms) Work with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data preparation and transformation Collaborate with Power BI teams for hybrid reporting scenarios where applicable. Maintenance & Support Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies Manage report subscriptions, scheduling, access control, and security. Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, joins, indexing, performance tuning) Proven experience designing enterprise-grade reports and dashboards. Technical Skills Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
