Senior Project Engineer Nova Scotia Power Capital Projects, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Regular, full time. Closing date: May 5, 2026. Key Responsibilities Execute projects assigned to Capital Projects following NS Powers Project Delivery Model including constructability reviews, contractor management, compliance with regulatory requirements, change management, budget and financial forecasting, economic analyses, stakeholder communication. Collaborate with Hydro and Wind Operations, Energy Delivery, Thermal Generation, Enterprise Asset Management, Environmental Services, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and NS Power leadership to ensure projects are developed in accordance with company guidelines. Champion safety excellence, maintain personal safety standards, safeguard coworkers, and enforce Occupational Health and Safety rules while integrating safety and environmental considerations into project design and execution. Accountable for environmental management system processes and initiatives. Facilitate activities to produce project applications for internal and external regulatory approvals. Qualifications & Skills Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred). Professional Engineer with at least 7 years of experience. Strong analytical and project management skills. Eligible for P. Eng membership within 6 months, or already a member. Knowledge of PMI methodologies, PMP certification, and/or AACE recommended practices is an asset. Willingness to travel to construction sites outside Halifax Regional Municipality and stay locally as required. Experience with hydropower facilities design, construction, operation, or maintenance is an asset. Strong analytical, quantitative, decisionmaking skills; knowledge of construction means and methods; detail oriented. Experience executing projects in environmentally sensitive areas and/or with the Mikmaq of Nova Scotia is an asset. Experience in risk management, change management, financial management, schedule management is an asset. Valid drivers license and availability for emergency service restoration. Strong communication and relationship skills, ability to work well with various levels of the organization and external contractors.
