Our employees are key ingredients to our success, and you will be responsible for HR leadership and strategic people support across our Canadian Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Distribution network overseeing 5 Plants, 2 Distribution Centers (DCs), and MSC (Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Commerce) functions in Canada. You will act as the senior HR point of contact for the Canadian MSC organization, driving implementation of global strategies and initiatives across all sites. You will be responsible for influencing business strategy on engagement, culture, talent, and peoplerelated issues at scale. How you will contribute Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders across 5 Plants, 2 DCs, and MSC functions, understanding the commercial and supply chain impact of people decisions in order to fulfil business objectives providing an outsidein lens (site roadmaps, people plans, factory of the future) Oversee multisite labour relations strategy, including communication, works council relations, and compliance across all Canadian locations Drive engagement on the culture agenda across the Canadian MSC network; coach leaders on key cultural elements and organizational values serving as the custodian of highperformance work systems and ensuring effective learning management across all sites Partner with leadership teams on strategic priorities from workforce planning insights and decisions to talent acquisition, leadership development, early career programs, career pathing, succession planning, mobility, and strategic talent reviews across the Canadian MSC organization Leverage data analytics to drive solutions and decisions that translate into actionable plans to impact the bottom line and enable business strategy; inform and update People Services of any local, legal, and regulatory changes in the Canadian market Support plant and DC leadership with effective management of time and attendance systems and attendance policies; coach site directors and leadership pillars in line with site needs and KPIs support performance calibration where applicable Lead people processes and manage the impact of any site or network transformation with effective change management across all Canadian MSC locations Coordinate and align HR strategies and best practices across the 5 Plants, 2 DCs, and MSC functions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a unified people experience What you will bring Strong experience working with trade unions across multiple sites and jurisdictions to deliver change Proven track record as a trusted, credible business partner with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence people at all levels of a large, complex organization Experience working with Lean Six Sigma to drive high performance across manufacturing and supply chain environments HR leader with an active curiosity, insight orientation, and external perspective about people and business performance Interpersonal savvy, planning, and dealing with ambiguity in a multisite, multifunctional environment Futurefocused by thinking ahead and anticipating new opportunities; leverages an outsidein perspective through understanding of market trends Demonstrated ability to lead and align HR teams and initiatives across geographically dispersed locations What you need to know about this position The Director, MSC Canada & People Lead will provide outstanding HR leadership and support to line leadership and functional teams across 5 manufacturing plants, 2 distribution centers, and MSC functions in Canada. This role will drive consistent policy and process application and is responsible for ensuring flawless execution of all HR programmes across the Canadian MSC network. What extra ingredients you will bring 10 or more years of Human Resources experience, with significant experience in a multisite or regional HR leadership role Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment is required 3 or more years of experience managing labour relations in a unionised setting is required Experience managing HR across multiple sites, plants, or distribution centres is required 5 or more years of proven experience in one of the following: Lean Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and/or High Performing Work Systems is a plus Education / Certifications Bachelor''s Degree required (Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field). Job specific requirements Strong coaching capability across diverse leadership teams Strong engagement experience in large, complex organisations Ability to drive capabilities across a broad and geographically dispersed workforce Previous people management experience is required Experience managing talent management programmes and training at scale Experience creating and delivering fullscale change and engagement programmes across multiple locations Experience leading local collective agreement administration and participation in collective bargaining across multiple Canadian jurisdictions Experience ensuring that policies and practices are administered in a consistent and professional manner; responsible for sharing best practices, external benchmarking, and continuous improvement Travel requirements Willing to travel 25%35% across Canadian sites. Salary and Benefits The expected base salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus programme with the possibility for overachievement (based on performance and company results), and a longterm incentive programme.
