Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. (VanPile) is seeking an Intermediate Project Controls Specialist to support one of our major project sites in Prince Rupert. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in planning, monitoring, and guiding project performance in a dynamic, fastpaced marine construction environment.This is a fly-in, flyout position with a two-week on / one-week off rotation. At VanPile, we value people, purpose, and progressand it shows in everything we do.Key ResponsibilitiesConvert proposal estimates into structured and accurate project budgetsMonitor daily and weekly production and financial reportingParticipate actively in change management processesMaintain and update project risk registersEnsure compliance with project history records and documentation requirementsSet up project WBS, cost codes, and baseline budgetsUphold project controls policies and ensure consistent application across the projectUpdate project cash flows and analyze variancesPrepare accurate cost forecasts and performance reportsReview project contracts to ensure compliance with commercial requirementsSupport and document change management processesProvide insight and advice on project controls strategiesTrain and mentor project staff in controls processes and proceduresCollaborate closely with the Contracts Specialist and Project ManagerQualifications / RequirementsMinimum 5 years of Project Controls experience (heavy construction experience preferred)Demonstrated success in project controls on fixedprice contractsProficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Degree in Engineering, Accounting, or equivalent disciplineStrong understanding of cost, schedule, change, and risk management principlesExperience with claims substantiation and complex project documentationAbility to develop, maintain, and optimize Project Controls systemsStrong skills in generating internal and external project reportsSkills, Abilities & AttributesHigh professional and ethical standardsProactive mindset with strong judgment and analytical thinkingCollaborative and results-driven approachExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong relationship-building capabilitiesExceptional time-management and organizational skillsDetail-oriented and capable of working independentlyAbility to mentor and support team members in project controls practicesCompensationSalary Range: $90,000 $110,000 per annumThe actual salary offered will depend on jobrelated factors including relevant experience, education, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Groups compensation policies.What's in it for you?Competitive Compensation and company-paid benefitsGrow Your Career Professional development, mentorship, and ongoing learning opportunitiesLongTerm Opportunity Build your future with a proud, BCbased, family-owned company that invests in its peopleHow to Apply:Join us and be a part of a project that makes a difference!
