In turn, we offer an award-winning environment that fosters a people-first culture with a high priority on your personal and professional growth.Your OpportunityThe Manager, National Assurance supports the development and maintenance of national technical guidance, training, and practice tools to enable local offices to conduct engagements efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with professional standards, and Firm requirements. This is a replacement role.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Research & Consultation SupportResearch technical accounting and assurance matters using authoritative guidance and Firm resources.Draft responses to assurance consultations for review by senior members of the National Assurance team.Identify areas requiring escalation and involve appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.Assurance Methodology & Practice ToolsSupport annual updates and ongoing maintenance of assurance and compilation tools and Firm guidance and manualsAssess the impact of new and revised standards on assigned sections of Firm methodology.Assist in drafting and updating Firm policies relating to assurance engagements.Quality ManagementSupport the Firms system of quality management.Contribute to the development and documentation of quality risks and responses.Training & Knowledge SharingAssist in the design and delivery of assurance training programs for Partners and staff, including:Live instructor-led sessionsWeb-based learningVirtual instructor-led trainingHow do we define success for your role?You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and CollaborationYou understand your clients industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality workYou identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clientsYou share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talentYou actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplaceYou grow your expertise through learning and professional development.Your Experience And EducationA CPA designation and proficient knowledge of assurance standards in CanadaMinimum 3 years (post designation) of assurance experience in a public accounting firmEffective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesPossess a basic understanding of other standards, policies and procedures that interact with assurance, including quality management standards, accounting, risk management, independence, tax, etc.The expected range of compensation for this role is 76,000 $ - 126,000 $annuallyWhy BDO?Our people-first approach to talent has earned us a spot among Canadas Top 100 Employers for 2026.
