Job Description

* Provide oversight and support of Fund-accounting related activities of the fund accounting provider* Respond and instruct fund accounting providers when asked for direction.* Participate and represent the Fund Treasurers Office in various fund vendor relationship meetings.* Act as Fund Treasurer's Office point of contact for other departments for various issues relating to the mutual funds and pooled funds.* Responsible for ensuring meaningful and timely communication of initiatives or findings to the attention of the FTO and impacted business partners* Provide operational expertise on several aspects of the launch process such as the role of fund accounting and transfer agency to the team.* Provide ongoing oversight of security pricing to ensure efficient and effective operations* Provide coverage for the Treasury Managers relating to their day-to-day responsibilities.* Assist in overseeing that all annual and semi-annual reports have been prepared in accordance with Canadian generally accepted accounting principles* Complete daily oversight checks with an eye for continuous improvement.* Continuously look to strengthen oversight and controls* 3-5 Years in financial industry* Strong knowledge of the Canadian and global investment industry, including NI 81-102 and NI 81-106.* Knowledge of fund accounting, pricing, custody and the operational aspects of investment funds including alternative investment funds.* You are a highly driven professional with a keen eye for detail* Understanding the asset management business, fund accounting, dilution, transfer agency etc.* You are proactive and continuously assess your surroundings to identify issues and areas where modifications to existing processes might be recommended or required* You are an exceptional communicator who excels at communicating difficult information in the simplest of terms possible* You excel at presenting information to Senior Leaders and Boards/ Committees both orally and through written presentations* You are a team player who is able to find common ground and find solutions that are in the best interest of Fidelity and our investors.* You are motivated by collaboration, process efficiency and commitment to excellence* Experience constructing control and effective oversight processes for new alternative products* Ability to manipulate large amounts of data using excel* Flexible working arrangements - 100% remote, hybrid, and in office options.* Competitive total compensation, including company contributions to your group RRSP without a matching requirement from you.* Comprehensive health benefits that start on your first day, with 100% employer-paid premiums, that include up to $6000 annually for mental health services and therapy.* Parental leave top-up to 100% of your salary for a period of 25 weeks.* Up to $650 for home office equipment.* Generous time off policy, including 2 paid days annually to volunteer at a charity of your choice.* Diversity and inclusion programs, including an active network of Employee Resource Groups.* Extensive professional development opportunities, including access to over 11,000 training and development courses, tuition reimbursement, and monetary rewards for completing a required designation.Fidelity Canada has become an employer of choice for talented people seeking rewarding career opportunities in the financial services industry.
