Operations Manager, Division of Student Experience Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking an individual who will embrace our institutional values of agility, bravery, connection, discovery, and empowerment to meet the challenges of this key leadership position in our academic administration. Reporting and Leadership Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Student Experience, the Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Division of Student Experience. This role oversees business operations, budgeting, human resources processes, and project management while serving as a key liaison across institutional partners and external stakeholders. Position Responsibilities Lead divisional operations, workflow design, and continuous process improvement to support high-quality service delivery Coordinate business and operational planning, including development of reports, proposals, and business cases Oversee divisional budgets, forecasting, reporting, grants, and contracted services in collaboration with Finance Provide people leadership, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, and workforce planning Manage and support projects aligned with divisional priorities, including risk assessment and mitigation Ensure compliance with institutional policies, collective agreements, OH&S, and privacy legislation Coordinate facilities, IT, and vendor relationships to support operational and space needs Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related discipline Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership experience including direct supervision of staff Minimum three (3) years of experience managing complex budgets and operational planning Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills Proven ability to lead change and manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationshipbuilding skills Demonstrated commitment to learnercentred service delivery Proficiency with Microsoft Office and use of technology to enhance operations Preferred Qualifications CPHR designation is an asset Knowledge of the operation of a postsecondary institution is preferred Knowledge of the postsecondary research grant environment is an asset Process management experience is preferred Salary and Benefits Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Additional time off may be available due to institution closures between Christmas and New Year holidays.
