Overview Step into a senior technical leadership role where your expertise in Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS) and Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) helps shape the reliability, safety, and performance of critical infrastructure. As a Senior ICSS & SCADA Engineer, you will lead complex automation solutions from concept through commissioning, supporting major projects across energy, transportation, data centres, and advanced industrial environments. Responsibilities Lead the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of complex ICSS, SCADA, BPCS, and SIS systems for critical infrastructure projects. Apply and champion compliance with IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 functional safety standards across all project phases. Architect and implement secure OT network designs, integrating cybersecurity best practices into industrial control environments. Develop highquality engineering deliverables, including control philosophies, drawings, execution strategies, and alarm management plans. Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration and alignment with client and regulatory requirements. Oversee commissioning and startup activities, including live system transitions, hot cutovers, and performance validation. Build trusted client relationships by providing technical leadership, conducting site inspections, and supporting technical surveys. Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in automation, ICSS, and SCADA engineering roles. Proven expertise with major platforms such as Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, Emerson DeltaV, Siemens, Aveva (System Platform, OSI PI, InTouch), Ignition, Iconics, ReLab Clearview. Strong working knowledge of alarm management, rationalisation, and operational readiness. Experience delivering systems across industries including Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Transportation Systems, and Data Centres. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required; Functional Safety and OT Cybersecurity certifications are considered strong assets. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100 MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800 NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122,100 - $162,200 Note: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
