We are seeking an experienced AI Team Manager to lead and grow a team of AI engineers and data professionals focused on delivering scalable, production-grade AI capabilities embedded into M-Files products. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic execution, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities aligned to business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Translate product and business objectives into an actionable AI roadmap Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions in production Ensure AI initiatives drive measurable product KPIs and customer value Promote best practices in model lifecycle management, evaluation, monitoring, and governance Provide architectural guidance for AI systems, including LLM integrations, ML pipelines, and cloud-native AI services Ensure high standards in code quality, reproducibility, security, and scalability Drive adoption of MLOps practices and tooling (e.g., MLflow, CI/CD for ML, observability) Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing AI team Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning Support career development, coaching, and performance management Partner with recruiting to attract top AI/ML talent Work closely with Product Managers to prioritize AI investments and align on outcomes Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure seamless AI integration into core product architecture Communicate technical strategy and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience leading AI/ML teams in a SaaS or technology environment Strong handson background in machine learning, applied AI, or data science Experience deploying AI solutions to production environments at scale Solid understanding of MLOps, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures Proficiency in common ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar) Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business value narratives NicetoHave Experience with LLMs and generative AI applications in enterprise environments Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, or similar ML platforms Knowledge of SaaS product metrics and PLG strategies Experience working in Agile development environments Participation in our Recruitment Process Initial Screening w/People & Culture Team Member Internal Team Member(s) (Lead Architect + Software Engineer) Hiring Manager (Senior Director, Software Development) Possible Final Interview w/Chief Product Officer or Chief Technology Officer Estimated total candidate time investment: Approx. 3hrs Benefits Why M-Files?
