FIFO Heavy Equipment Mechanic Opportunity paying up to $175,000 per year!Our client, a leading provider of heavy equipment rental, maintenance, and repair solutions across North America, is currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians (HETs) to support large-scale mining operations in Fort Mac.This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team working on some of the largest and most advanced mining equipment in the industry.About the OpportunityYou will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy mining equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. This role is ideal for technicians with experience on large haul trucks and hydraulic shovels who are looking for long-term stability, competitive compensation, and career growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mobile equipmentPerform maintenance and overhauls on haul trucks, shovels, and support equipmentInterpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic dataEnsure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site standardsMaintain detailed service records and documentationCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient equipment uptimeWhat Were Looking ForAlberta Off-Road Journeyman, or Red Seal Off-Road Heavy Equipment Technician certificationMinimum 3 years of experience working on large mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, John Deere, etc.)Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilitiesSolid mechanical aptitude and attention to detailCommitment to safety and teamworkAbility to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbsValid drivers license with air brake endorsement and clean abstractCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate: $58.00+, plus OT, plus premiums (equals to about $175k per year)Overtime and performance-based bonusesComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, disability)Retirement savings plan with employer contributionsOngoing training, certification support, and career development opportunitiesWork Schedule14 days on / 14 days off rotation12-hour shifts (day and night rotation)Opportunity for significant overtime earnings
