This firm operates across various sectors including multifamily residential, commercial and hospitality and has offices across Canada. They are seeking a design focused Architect or experienced Intern Architect to join their team in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a firm recognized for its creative approach, use of cutting-edge technology and design methodologies. *this is a hybrid roleResponsibilities:Develop architectural designs that meet quality standards, project timelines, and budget limitations.Coordinate and communicate design intent across multiple disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.Integrate engineering inputs, site survey data, and field review findings into the design process.Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and jurisdictional requirements.Prepare design documentation, including reports, drawings, and 3D models, following internal office standards.Conduct site visits to verify construction aligns with design specifications and identify any discrepancies.Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve design or construction issues as they arise.Review project deliverables, services, and shop drawings to confirm consistency with design documents and regulatory standards.Maintain internal quality control by ensuring all outputs meet established guidelines and expectations.Qualifications:Minimum of 7+ years of experience in architectural design, ideally in multifamily residential (wood frame mid-rise, low-rise/ townhomes) projects.Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD & SketchUp is an asset.Proven ability to take projects from early design through to construction documentation.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Degree in Architecture or relevant equivalent; registration or eligibility for registration with AAA is an asset.The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $80,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience), health & dental benefits, 3 weeks vacation and hybrid.
