This role provides specialized servicing for institutional, crossborder, and complex client structures, addressing treasury, payments, and operational inquiries while coordinating across internal Capital Markets, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams.Operating in a pooled (nondedicated) coverage model, the advisor manages inbound requests from multiple Capital Markets and BwB clients, ensuring timely issue resolution, risk awareness, and seamless execution across domestic and international payment flows.Key ResponsibilitiesCapital Markets & BwB Client ServicingServe as a primary servicing contact for Capital Markets and Bank without Borders clients, supporting treasury and paymentsrelated inquiriesAddress complex servicing needs tied to institutional client structures, crossborder activity, and timesensitive payment flowsSupport clients transacting across multiple legal entities, currencies, and geographies, ensuring accurate execution and controlsTreasury & Payments Support (Capital Markets Focus)Provide operational and functional support across TPS products, including:Highvalue payments (wires, RTP, timecritical transactions)ACH and global paymentsCash positioning, reporting, and intraday liquidity inquiriesOnline treasury and entitlement platformsSupport Capital Markets clients with:Funding and settlementrelated payment inquiriesCutoff times and payment timing aligned to trading, clearing, or settlement windowsFilebased payment processing and reporting needsBank without Borders (CrossBorder) SupportSupport BwB clients with:Crosscurrency and crossborder payment inquiriesCoordination across regional teams and time zonesNavigation of differing operational requirements and payment conventionsPartner with internal teams to resolve issues impacting international payments, FXrelated settlement processes, or nonstandard client setupsIssue Resolution, Escalation & Risk AwarenessInvestigate and resolve payment exceptions, rejects, account servicing issues, and platform access requestsEscalate highrisk, timesensitive, or marketimpacting issues in accordance with TPS and Capital Markets servicing protocolsDemonstrate strong risk awareness, particularly for highvalue payments, regulatory considerations, and crossborder activityInternal Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementPartner closely with:Capital Markets Operations and Settlement teamsTreasury Product and Payments OperationsTechnology, Risk, and Compliance partnersFacilitate clear communication between clientfacing teams and internal stakeholders to resolve complex servicing issues efficientlyControls, Documentation & Continuous ImprovementEnsure all servicing activity aligns with BMOs policies, controls, and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate case documentation and audit trailsIdentify recurring Capital Markets or BwB client pain points and contribute to process improvements or servicing enhancementsRequired Qualifications2+ years of experience in Treasury Services, Payments, Cash Management, or Capital Markets operations within a financial institutionStrong understanding of highvalue payments, cash management, and treasury servicing workflowsExperience supporting complex, institutional, or crossborder clientsComfort operating in a nondedicated / pooled servicing modelStrong communication, problemsolving, and escalation skillsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting Capital Markets, Institutional, or Bank without Borders clientsExposure to crossborder payments, FXrelated settlement, or international treasury structuresFamiliarity with treasury service platforms, entitlement tools, or case management systemsKnowledge of operational risk and controls in a highvalue payments environmentKey CompetenciesInstitutionalgrade client service mindsetStrong risk and control awarenessAbility to manage timesensitive, highimpact requestsClear and confident communication with internal and external stakeholdersDetailoriented with the ability to see upstream and downstream impacts of treasury activity
