Contract Length: 6-month (Possibility of extension)Location: Toronto, CanadaHybrid: 1-3 Days on siteWhat Youll Be DoingAs an AI Product Owner, youll lead the design and integration of intuitive, human-centred experiences for AI-powered products and solutions. You will collaborate with end-users, developers, data scientists, and product managers to translate complex AI capabilities into user-friendly solutions that solve real-world problems. Youll own the end-to-end design process and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across our AI product suite.The team are hiring an AI Product Owner to help shape interfaces for, but not limited to:Custom Smart Library / RAG knowledge systemsAgentic AI coworkersSmart AI-driven workflowsCrosssystem AI connectorsHow Youll SucceedLead AI Product Design: Own the end-to-end design process for AI products, from initial discovery and conceptualization to detailed UI/UX design, prototyping, and user testing.Translate AI to Solutions: Bridge the gap between complex AI capabilities and intuitive user interfaces. Design how users interact with, understand, trust, and train AI systems.Facilitate Discovery & Optimization: Conduct user research tailored to AI products, understanding user needs, mental models, trust factors, and expectations. Translate insights into actionable design opportunities.Prototyping & Iteration: Create wireframes, flowcharts, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and test concepts rapidly. Iterate based on feedback and technical feasibility.Define AI Interaction Patterns: Develop and advocate for new design patterns and best practices for interacting with AI systems, focusing on explainability, controllability, error handling, feedback loops, and personalization.Design System Contribution: Contribute to and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the AI product suite.Who You AreMotivated by collective success and teamwork.Seek out innovative solutions, embrace evolving technologies, and are comfortable with generative AI concepts and platforms.Motivated by accomplishing goals and delivering your best to make a difference.Inspire outcomes by sharing expertise and building strong relationships across teams.We Are Looking For Between 3-5 years of experience in product owner/manager roles, strategy, design, UX design, or interaction design, with at least 1-2+ years specifically designing for AI/ML-powered products or features.Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex digital products, especially those involving AI (e.g., explainability, trust, data interaction, user feedback for AI).Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.Familiarity with common AI/ML concepts and capabilities.Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma).Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, embracing iterative design and continuous learning.You have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial intelligence, Computer Engineering, Business or Information Systems.Someone who can bring their real self to work and live our values trust, teamwork, and accountability.
