Position OverviewThe Plumbing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial and multiresidential plumbing projects from preconstruction through completion. This role manages project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage plumbing projects from award through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk managementReview drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate project executionDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, procurement plans, and manpower forecastsCoordinate internal teams, site supervisors, forepersons, and subcontractorsAct as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, general contractors, and inspectorsTrack costs, prepare progress claims, change orders, and project financial reportsEnsure compliance with Alberta plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standardsConduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performanceResolve project issues, conflicts, and scope changes proactivelyOversee project closeout, including deficiencies, documentation, and final turnover packagesQualifications & Experience2+ years of experience managing plumbing projects in commercial or multifamily constructionJourneyman Plumber certification or equivalent trade background preferredStrong understanding of mechanical/plumbing systems, drawings, and specificationsProven experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost controlFamiliarity with Alberta building codes, safety requirements, and permitting processesProficiency with project management software and Microsoft OfficeValid drivers license and ability to attend site meetingsSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team coordination skillsExcellent communication and clientfacing abilitiesHigh level of organization and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProblemsolving mindset with strong decisionmaking skillsResultsdriven with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
