TalentCompass is currently assisting several clients across BC with their millwright roles. We have clients in Kamloops, Kelowna, Salmon Arm, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Penticton, Grand Forks, Williams Lake, Prince George, etc. These are all permanent onsite positions, offer a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon and evening) days and nights, 8 - 12 hours per day. ResponsibilitiesMaintains, repairs, installs, assembles and modifies equipmentLubrication of machinery, seal replacement, cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance.Reads and creates blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Enter work requests and order parts and materials with CMMSInstall, repair and maintain airlines, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsMaintain and monitor equipment using predictive and preventive techniques. (Vibration analysis, stethoscopes, strobe lights and thermal imaging.)Troubleshoot electrical problems, make decisions necessary to repair, and restore equipment to design specifications.Perform electrical tests using megger, OHM meter, and other test equipment.Perform work utilizing prints and/or computer logic.Perform complex predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions.Make process control changes.Read wiring and circuit diagrams.Qualifications:4th class apprentice or Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/MillwrightKnowledge of equipment maintenanceAbility to stand on feet for long periods of time, climb, bend, stoop, squat and lift.Ability to work in confined spaces and at substantial heightsAbility to work in a team environmentTime management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.Good communication, interpersonal skills and writing skillsWhat you will get:Stable hours VacationBenefits PlanCompany matching pension planTraining and mentorship opportunitiesRelocation AssistanceTo discuss or learn more about the role, reach us .
