KisoJiBiotechnologyis a therapeutic antibody company that is developing mono- andmultispecificantibody therapeutics byleveragingourstate-of-the-artproprietary transgenic mouse platform for the generation of heavy chain-only antibodies (HCAbs). We are currently expanding our antibody discovery team; specifically, We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to lead phage displaybased antibody discovery work. This is an individual contributor position; the work requires on-site laboratory bench work at our Montreal site.This is a key role responsible for establishing and executing phage display workflows. It is a hands-on, individual contributor position requiring strong technical ownership at the bench and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.Position: Senior Research AssociateSite:Montreal, Quebec, CanadaDepartment:Molecular BiologyResponsibilitiesThe Senior Research Associate, Molecular Biology position entails working independently and in collaboration with other team members, under the direction of the department head, to:Plan and execute phage display panning experiments for antibody discoveryScreen phages for binding activity (e.g. by PE-ELISA)Clone phage display antibody librariesGenerate amplicon libraries for NGS analysisTroubleshoot methods, suggest improvements, and developnew technologiesfor project advancement; support the creation of SOPs asrequiredClearly communicate results in written reports and oral presentationsActively foster an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships within and across teams, and provide technical leadership in molecular biology methodsParticipate in team meetings toassistin the coordination of project and departmental activitiesEssential qualificationsM.Sc. in a relevant field (such as immunology, genetics, cell biology, or molecular biology) with at least 6 years of experience in an industry environment, including at least 3 years in an antibody discovery role.Experience in phage display andbiopanning, including phagemid library cloningExperience with the design and execution of molecular biology techniques such as:DNA extraction (mini/midi/maxiprep)Sanger sequencing analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot experiments independentlyAbility to accurately follow SOPs and instructions, with strong attention to detail.Excellent time management skills, including the ability to effectively multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document all work clearly and completelyLegally authorized to work in CanadaPreferredAdditionalexperience in molecular biology, antibodydiscoveryand/or antibody characterization (e.g. ELISA, SDS-PAGE, flow cytometry) is highly desirableCompensation & BenefitsHealth and dental benefitsPaid vacation and holidaysAnnual bonus and performance reviewsTraining and development opportunities Thank you for your interest.
