Our mission is to create and deploy capital for a better world.To learn more, please visit: WHAT YOULL DOAs Associate General Counsel, you will play a key role in shaping the legal strategy as we continue to grow. You will partner closely with our businesses to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across a wide range of areas, including commercial matters, disputes, and employment-related issues.You will support both day-to-day legal needs and more complex matters, including managing disputes, advising on workforce-related topics, and mitigating legal risk across the organization.RESPONSIBILITIESDraft, negotiate, and manage a range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, consulting agreements, and other business-critical contractsPartner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business operationsAssist in managing disputes and litigation matters, including coordinating with and overseeing outside counselProvide guidance on employment-related matters, including policies, employee relations issues, and complianceHelp develop workflows, templates, and policies to improve legal processes and reduce riskSupport internal investigations and sensitive matters as neededCommunicate with executive management and provide clear, actionable legal adviceStay up to date on relevant legal developments, including litigation trends and employment law changesWHAT YOULL BRING3-8 years of experience as a licensed attorney (law firm or in-house)Bachelors degree and a Juris Doctorate degree from a U.S. or Canadian accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in a U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction.Broad legal experience with exposure to commercial, litigation, or employment mattersIdeal candidates have experience across a mix of commercial, litigation, and/or employment lawAbility to identify risk and provide practical, business-oriented solutionsStrong communication and drafting skillsExperience working cross-functionally and managing multiple prioritiesComfort working with outside counsel on specialized matters, including disputes or employment issues
