We are currently looking for a Business Quality Specialist to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. General Accountability Reporting directly to the Quality Systems Manager, the Business Quality Specialist will oversee all customer quality concerns and ensure they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. They will work directly with Operations and Customer Experience to ensure that customer returned units are received, investigated, and rectified while improving internal processes and addressing quality gaps. They will contribute to maintaining Romets Quality Management System (QMS), monitor processes, and ensure controls are confirmed by conducting internal audits. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Lead and manage all customer quality concerns pertaining to returned units. Investigate all returned units in collaboration with manufacturing. Contain customer concerns quickly and effectively with the Customer Experience and Operation Team. Coordinate with final assembly, customer care, and logistics to ship repaired or replaced products to customers. Communicate investigation results to customers. Issue internal/external quality reports and communicate corrective action plans. Maintain Romets QMS documents in accordance with ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements. Create best practice tools to improve performance and compliance. Lead internal/external audits, procedure training, and corrective action processes. Analyze manufacturing processes to report quality metrics in KPIs and business reports. Support Supplier QA Analyst and manage supplier audits and qualification processes. Support Quality Engineer with SPC system development and monitoring product performance. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Proven track record building or improving a robust quality management system with continuous improvement commitment. Excellent understanding of ISO quality standards and quality management systems. Detail oriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of ERP systems. High proficiency with MS Office Suite (superior Excel and PowerPoint skills). Experience in machining and assembly environments and understanding of process parameters and controls. Educational / Experience Requirements University degree or college diploma in industrial, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or related engineering with QA/quality assurance experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Extensive knowledge and handson experience leading ISO 9001 / AS 9100 planning, procedure and process development, internal audits, and continuous improvement activities. Problemsolving and Root Cause Analysis training and experience. Internal Lead Auditor certification considered an asset.
