The Sonographer performs echocardiography scans requested by physicians and manages related patient care, exam requests, diagnostic file management, equipment and supplies. The role may include assisting with radiographic/ECG duties when trained and qualified. The incumbent ensures compliance with quality assurance programs and maintains standards set by accreditation bodies while supporting the shared health mission and values. Experience Previous related experience preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Must be a graduate of an approved and accredited ultrasound training program. Certification / Licensure / Registration Must be a Registered Ultrasound Technologist with active registration with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiography Technologists (CAMRT) is an asset. Qualifications and Skills Proficiency in a Windows computer environment. Microsoft Office programs preferred. Follow oral and written instructions precisely with attention to detail. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary team environment and with external agencies. Proficient analytical skills. Capable of working under pressure. Maintains confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position. Fluency in French and English may be required. Ability to perform duties as described.
