The Donor Relations Manager, Canada will develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors within an assigned region to increase financial support, strengthen engagement, and cultivate new major gift opportunities. This regionally based role is responsible for delivering on an annual fundraising plan aligned with team strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Donor Relationship Management (50%) Implement donor development strategies through personalized engagement, including visits, phone calls, written correspondence, meetings with key World Renew personnel, and participation in Discovery Tours. Manage a portfolio of assigned donors and execute individualized engagement plans, including creating an annual moves management plan for each donor. Research donor history, giving capacity, and demographic information to build comprehensive donor profiles. Maintain accurate and up to date records of donor interactions and revenue within the donor management system (Salesforce). Collaborate with internal teams including Donor & Church Relations, Marketing & Communications, and Program Excellence to ensure coordinated donor engagement. Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospects for major gifts and planned giving. Develop and implement moves management strategies for major donors to strengthen long term relationships and deepen financial support. Establish and monitor annual fundraising goals in alignment with team and organizational objectives. Prepare and present proposals, impact reports, and progress updates to donors. Ensure timely and meaningful stewardship through personalized thank you communications and follow up. Planned Giving & Fundraising Campaign Support (10%) Promote planned giving opportunities in collaboration with team members and partner organizations. Contribute to securing support for World Renews comprehensive fundraising campaign. Donor Engagement & Reporting (5%) Provide donors with impact reports, newsletters, and program updates to strengthen their connection to World Renews mission. Stay informed about World Renews global programs to effectively align donor interests with organizational priorities. Data Management (5%) Accurately document donor interactions and maintain detailed and current donor profiles within the donor management system. Travel & Events Conduct in person donor visits and participate in regional donor appreciation and fundraising events. Escort donors on international trips to witness World Renews work firsthand. Representation Serve as a professional and faithful representative of World Renew, upholding and modeling the organizations core values in all interactions. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED Able to respect and support the mission, vision and values of World Renew. Familiarity with the Reformed faith and tradition as practiced by the CRCNA. Ability to articulate a biblical worldview and explain how World Renews work reflects this calling. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining church or donor relationships within a faith-based nonprofit or ministry setting. Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a multi-task environment. Ability to plan strategically, manage multiple relationships, and prioritize workload independently. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft 365 or similar collaboration tools. High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information. Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising or relationshipdriven sales. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and connect with diverse audiences. Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans while achieving measurable goals. Able to travel internationally for up to one or two consecutive weeks. Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative team player. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field required. Minimum of three years of experience in Fundraising, Donor Relations is required. CFRE is CCNL certification is considered an asset. LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluency in English with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and persuasively in both verbal and written formats. Demonstrated proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and overall business writing conventions.
