Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Bed-based Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for the advancement of mental health and addictions knowledge and professional practice to ensure evidence-based, individualized care of patients and families from the multidisciplinary team. The CPM directs and develops clinical practice within the program across the patient care spectrum and manages multidisciplinary team competency. The Clinical Practice Manager supports orientation of newly hired staff, leads a comprehensive education strategy, and refines policies and procedures to govern practice. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to clinical practice Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge base and clinical competence in a relevant patient care area Demonstrated ability to lead and affect change Demonstrated skills in problem solving, analytical thinking, and creative thinking Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adhere to accepted standards of personal conduct Demonstrated commitment to maintaining/enhancing professional competence through continuing education activities and nursing research Excellent written and oral communication skills Competence with Microsoft Office software Competence with Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) education Education and/or Certification Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required; Master of Nursing preferred Minimum five (5) years recent relevant mental health clinical experience required Minimum three (3) years patient/family/staff teaching experience preferred Certified in Canadian Nursing Association Mental Health Nursing (CRN(C)) preferred Application Process At Htel Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH), we believe that being vital means showing up with purpose, passion, and the drive to make a difference.
