This provides the opportunity to work within a boutique, entrepreneurial environment while being connected to a broader, established financial network.The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance & Operations Associate to support the day-to-day mechanics of our wealth management firm. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working with processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting both compliance and operational functions.You will play a key role in ensuring our firms workflows run smoothly and that compliance activities are executed with precision. This position is best suited for someone early in their career who is looking to build experience in investment industry compliance and operations.Core Responsibilities1. Compliance SupportAssist with daily trade supervision processes, including reviewing transactions for completeness and escalating any discrepancies Support the preparation and maintenance of compliance logs, including Advisor Training records, Approved Product Lists (APL), and product due diligence documentation Assist with AML reporting processes, including gathering documentation and cross-referencing client information Help prepare materials and documentation for internal and regulatory audits Support periodic reviews of marketing and sales materials for compliance alignment 2. Operations & AdministrationSupport account administration, including uploading new account documentation, monitoring workflow status, and preparing client correspondence Assist in coordinating with our carrying broker to resolve account-related inquiries and discrepancies Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems, including scanning and indexing client documentation Support ongoing data clean-up and digitization initiatives to ensure records are accurate and audit-ready Provide administrative support for capital markets transactions as needed 3. Team SupportProvide general support across the team to ensure operational and compliance tasks are completed efficiently Take on ad hoc responsibilities as required in a small team environment where flexibility and collaboration are essential Qualifications & Skills13 years of experience in financial services, compliance, or operations (co-op or internship experience considered) with experience in a CIRO organization.A basic understanding of the Canadian investment industry and regulatory environment is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage repetitive and process-driven tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with structured data Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and take direction Interest in pursuing industry licensing (e.g., CSC, CPH) is considered an asset Why Join SightlineAt Sightline, your work will have a visible impact.
