This investment professional will be part of a growing, entrepreneurial team responsible for external manager selection across public and private markets as well as total portfolio strategy and management.Duties and Responsibilities:Macroeconomic analysisDevelop and maintain global macroeconomic frameworks covering growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, liquidity and other financial considerationsReview and interpret global economic indicators, central bank actions, geopolitical developments, and capital-flow dynamicsAsset allocation and portfolio strategyTranslate macro views into strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations across equities, fixed income, credit, real assets, and alternativesSupport portfolio optimization, scenario modeling, and what-if analysisManager research, selection, and investment executionDrive external manager sourcing and prioritization, including thematic research, manager mapping, peer comparison, and scenario analysis across public and private market fundsLead due diligence workstreams, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, reviewing track records, assessing investment teams and portfolio exposuresDevelop and refine financial and statistical models to support investment decision making and monitoring, summarizing outputs into actionable insightsDraft investment recommendation memos and presentation materials for investment decision making, incorporating feedback from relevant team membersClosely collaborate with internal direct investing teams across a range of industries and investment stagesPartner with legal, accounting, and operations for fund diligence and investment executionPortfolio managementEngage post investment with fund managers and participate on limited partner advisory committees as appropriateMonitor existing fund investments through ongoing reviews, performance attribution, risk/ESG assessment, and preparation of portfolio reporting materialsPlay a key internal role in managing reporting processes and valuation analysisSupport portfolio strategy work including pacing analysis, liquidity planning, and monitoring exposures across asset classesCollaborate with the broader Wittington investment team and other departments including legal, finance, and taxRequired Qualifications and Behavioral Attributes:University degree in Statistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is requiredCFA and/or CAIA designation (or working towards the designation) is an asset7-10 years of relevant work experience in any of the following sectors: private equity, active public equity, investment banking, capital markets, equity research, investment consulting or equivalent roleDemonstrated experience leading fund investments, ideally in active public equity and private assetsStrong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to apply these skills in due diligence, portfolio construction and risk measurement processesHighly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to engage productively with managers, investment teams, and industry peersEntrepreneurial mindset with a high-ownership mentality and comfort operating on a lean teamAbility to manage multiple workstreams and shifting prioritiesWhat We Offer:A collaborative and inclusive team-focused cultureA total rewards package that includes competitive compensation, flexible benefits as well as pension and investment plansTuition reimbursement and training to help you reach your full potentialTo apply for this role please submit your cover letter and resume directly to Wittington is an equal opportunity employer committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
