Agilus is recruiting for a Project Technical Specialist in the nuclear industry in Oakville, Ontario.The Project Technical Specialist will be responsible for design support, preparation of technical documentation, technical oversight of subcontractors, design verification, and manufacturing support. To perform effectively, the Project Technical Specialist applies a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and draws on experience producing and reviewing the technical deliverables essential to successful project execution.Total rewards:$95000.00 - $114000.00 annuallyHybrid role (~3 days in office)Benefits - Health & DentalA typical day:Development of technical documentation in support of the project(s), including documentation such as: Design Documentation (design requirements, FMEAs, design plans, etc.)Procedures and Instructions (operation manuals, test plans, etc.), Technical and Vendor Specifications (including SOWs used for subcontracted engineering work), Review designs/drawings to ensure adherence to requirements.Support the Project Manager (as required) for all quality, risk and technical scope related to planning, executing, monitoring, and closing activitiesProvide technical input to support the preparation of requisitions for subcontracted engineering services, and productsProvide technical support for vendor/supplier inquiriesPresent technical information to customers or colleagues (ex. Design Reviews)Responsible for design/strategy of any testing as required for design verification or development testing, in accordance with the design inputs and the requirements of the company Quality Assurance programProvide support for Operations (assembly/fabrication/installation/commissioning, both at company and at customer facilities) including technical coordination of assembly tasks requiring special instructions developed by engineeringSuccessful candidates will have:Post-secondary education in industrial or mechanical engineering or a related field3 + years of project engineering experience2 + years of nuclear industry experienceStrong knowledge in all aspects of manufacturing, assembly, purchasing, quality assurance, testing, and project coordinationStrong problem-solving skills to evaluate and enhance production processes and systems and to identify and solve operations, process, and quality issues.
