Innovative Driven is currently seeking a Senior Solicitor to join the team at an established, well-respected, and busy law firm client, based in Langley, British Columbia!The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of post-call business and real estate law experience. This is a fulltime and onsite position at the law firm's office in Langley, British Columbia!The firm prides itself on its community-based roots, and on building long-standing client relationships! The business law practice is experiencing rapid growth, so they are looking to add an energetic and dedicated lawyer to the team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Handling both real estate and business law transactionsFacilitate incorporations (both provincial and federal), amalgamations, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and commercial contractsAdvise on corporate governance and compliance under applicable legislation (e.g., Business Corporations Acts)Negotiate and manage mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and asset/share purchasesHandle residential and commercial real estate transactionsFacilitate commercial leasing and lending and property mattersMentor associates and staff and share knowledgeOversee corporate services and conveyance department in conjunction with managementBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsContribute to client development and community engagementREQUIREMENTS:Member in good standing with the Law Society of BCMinimum of 5 years of post-call experienceDemonstrated expertise in business law and real estate lawExperience managing files independently from intake to closingStrong drafting and negotiation skillsProven ability to mentor associates and staffWorking knowledge of Canadian tax implications related to estate and corporate planningThe firm offers a fabulous overall compensation package, which includes a strong base salary, reasonable billable hour expectations, benefits, and the opportunity to earn a strong percentage of the earned billables.
