The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. The incumbent will provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise in the development and maintenance of community mental health and addiction treatment programs, and ensure nursing practice standards are maintained. Qualifications Education: Graduation from an approved school of psychiatric nursing or graduation from an approved school of general nursing supplemented by recognized training in psychiatric nursing; Possession of and ability to maintain a current registration as a Psychiatric Nurse in the Province of Saskatchewan (RPNAS). Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years (post graduate) recent recognized Mental Health & Addiction experience. License: Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS). Other Education and Training: Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE); Nursing diploma is acceptable; Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable; Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable.
