Join us and be part of a collaborative environment where your ambitions are united with ours and you can truly shape your story.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project pursuits including development of proposals and organizational chart/team structure for project deliveryPlay a key role in project initiation and planning, including hours estimation, schedule development, and project execution planLead the Rail Systems elements of project delivery within Mott MacDonald Canada, including management and oversight of detailed design and budget managementDevelop, coordinate, and efficiently manage resources to complete systems engineering scope involving multiple disciplines and across multiple officesCoordinate and manage the efforts of subconsultants, subcontractors, and suppliersLead, coordinate, and manage the QA process in alignment with the Mott MacDonald QMS and projectspecific requirementsManage project closeout activities and facilitate client satisfaction surveysProvide strategic direction and support for systems engineering and systems assurance activities across Canada and the US as neededSupport the development and delivery of key Systems Engineering processes and practices within MMs North American projects, including SE, SI, RM, CM, and SAAssist in the ongoing review of all System Engineering and Integration processes and practices used within Mott MacDonaldDevelop and maintain relationships with clients and partners and represent the organization at rail and transit industry events and conferencesCandidate SpecificationBachelors degree in Engineering, or equivalent degree (significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)20 or more years of experience delivering large and complex infrastructure projects, preferably in rail and transitP. Eng designation in Ontario, British Columbia or Alberta, or eligible for membershipProven experience in the management of design and delivery of the following systems for public infrastructure projects: Traction Power SystemsOverhead Catenary Systems (OCS)Power rail systemsCommunication SystemsSignalling and Train ControlTunnel Ventilation control systemsSCADA systems for control and monitoringPublic Address and Public Visual Information SystemsSecurity Systems (CCTV/Access Control)Rolling Stock/VehiclesExperience with management of system integration for large and complex systems in major railway infrastructure projectsExperience with right side of Vee including Verification and Validation, and testing and Commissioning phases of project delivery, including readiness for operationStrong communication skills and fluency in EnglishAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and lead technical discussions with clients and partnersAble to hold competent business discussions with clientsAble to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers, in a competent professional mannerBroad experience of delivery within major infrastructure projectsKnowledge of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management (IEC/IEEE 15288) and experience with implementation to real projectsKnowledge of System Safety and Assurance (EN 50126, CMREA)INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirableTravel RequirementsOccasional travel is part of the role and it is expected that the successful applicant will be able to travel within Canada and the US to MM locations and project officesHybrid Working PolicyAt Mott MacDonald, we believe it makes business sense for you and your manager to choose how you can work most effectively to meet your client, team, and personal commitments.
