As a comprehensive manufacturer of engineered composite products, Carfair Composites supplies quality fiberglass components to the original equipment manufacturers operating in agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, commercial, food processing, and medical industries.Position Summary:Supporting FAI cell operation by performing different activities such as marking/measuring the FAI parts, fabricating jigs, and fixtures for trimming, drilling, and assembly, and scribing the new tools required for operations.WHY JOIN OUR TEAM:Training Provided - We'll show you everything you need to know!Competitive Pay & Benefits - Competitive Wages and comprehensive benefit package with that includes medical, dental, vision, GRRSP plan, life insurance and disability programsPaid holidays and vacationFriendly Work Environment - Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team membersOn-the-job training in a continuous learning environment through variety of in-house training initiativesWHAT YOU WILL DO:Laminating of jigs as required for grinding, trimming and assembly processRepairing jigs and fixture as required for producing parts to the printReading blueprints and manually marking of the parts as per blueprintUse hand tools such diamond cutter, belt sanders, die grinders, pistol grip grinders, heat guns and some custom-made toolsMinor or major repairs of special toolsReads blueprints, drawings, and related tolerances for dimensional analysis of the partsAbility to gelcoat and laminatePatches defects using hand mix putty and hardenerPerforms hand mixing gelcoat and catalyst and sprayingRework non-conforming production partsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Grade 12Knowledge of blueprintsHand tools (pneumatic, electric, manual)Good Math skills such as fractions and unit conversionGood verbal and written communicationAble to work independently and with a team with minimum supervision.Demonstrated ability on initiative and sound judgment.Ability to organize and prioritize workload.Ability to train others when required.Ability to read blueprint.Good knowledge of using measuring such as Calipers, micrometer and height gauges etcTraveling may be required between Carfair, MCI and NFI if requiredOUR WHY:We exist to move people.
