Position Overview The Plumbing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial and multiresidential plumbing projects from preconstruction through completion. This role manages project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Manage plumbing projects from award through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate project execution Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, procurement plans, and manpower forecasts Coordinate internal teams, site supervisors, forepersons, and subcontractors Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, general contractors, and inspectors Track costs, prepare progress claims, change orders, and project financial reports Ensure compliance with Alberta plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance Resolve project issues, conflicts, and scope changes proactively Oversee project closeout, including deficiencies, documentation, and final turnover packages Qualifications & Experience 2+ years of experience managing plumbing projects in commercial or multifamily construction Journeyman Plumber certification or equivalent trade background preferred Strong understanding of mechanical/plumbing systems, drawings, and specifications Proven experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost control Familiarity with Alberta building codes, safety requirements, and permitting processes Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Valid drivers license and ability to attend site meetings Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team coordination skills Excellent communication and clientfacing abilities High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Problemsolving mindset with strong decisionmaking skills Resultsdriven with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
