Opportunity Overview: Wittington is looking to strengthen and grow its global, diversified portfolio investment team with the addition of a Principal, Fund Investments. This investment professional will be part of a growing, entrepreneurial team responsible for external manager selection across public and private markets as well as total portfolio strategy and management. Duties and Responsibilities: Macroeconomic analysis Develop and maintain global macroeconomic frameworks covering growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, liquidity and other financial considerations Review and interpret global economic indicators, central bank actions, geopolitical developments, and capital-flow dynamics Asset allocation and portfolio strategy Translate macro views into strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations across equities, fixed income, credit, real assets, and alternatives Support portfolio optimization, scenario modeling, and what-if analysis Manager research, selection, and investment execution Drive external manager sourcing and prioritization, including thematic research, manager mapping, peer comparison, and scenario analysis across public and private market funds Lead due diligence workstreams, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, reviewing track records, assessing investment teams and portfolio exposures Develop and refine financial and statistical models to support investment decision making and monitoring, summarizing outputs into actionable insights Draft investment recommendation memos and presentation materials for investment decision making, incorporating feedback from relevant team members Closely collaborate with internal direct investing teams across a range of industries and investment stages Partner with legal, accounting, and operations for fund diligence and investment execution Portfolio management Engage post investment with fund managers and participate on limited partner advisory committees as appropriate Monitor existing fund investments through ongoing reviews, performance attribution, risk/ESG assessment, and preparation of portfolio reporting materials Play a key internal role in managing reporting processes and valuation analysis Support portfolio strategy work including pacing analysis, liquidity planning, and monitoring exposures across asset classes Collaborate with the broader Wittington investment team and other departments including legal, finance, and tax Required Qualifications and Behavioral Attributes: University degree in Statistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required CFA and/or CAIA designation (or working towards the designation) is an asset 7-10 years of relevant work experience in any of the following sectors: private equity, active public equity, investment banking, capital markets, equity research, investment consulting or equivalent role Demonstrated experience leading fund investments, ideally in active public equity and private assets Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to apply these skills in due diligence, portfolio construction and risk measurement processes Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to engage productively with managers, investment teams, and industry peers Entrepreneurial mindset with a high-ownership mentality and comfort operating on a lean team Ability to manage multiple workstreams and shifting priorities What We Offer: A collaborative and inclusive team-focused culture A total rewards package that includes competitive compensation, flexible benefits as well as pension and investment plans Tuition reimbursement and training to help you reach your full potential To apply for this role please submit your cover letter and resume directly to Wittington is an equal opportunity employer committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
