Job Description

Position Overview We are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Business Advisor to join our Strategy & Transformation team. Two positions are available one permanent and one 12month contract. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: 94,200 - 115,200 (35hour workweek). Annual Bonus Target based on base salary with potential payout up to double the target. 12% share plan matched by Intact (50% of net shares). Flexible work arrangements and a hybrid work model Possibility to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year Multiple benefits to support physical and mental wellbeing, including telemedicine, wellness account, and more Share plan & other savings: up to 12% of salary and guaranteed income for life through our defined benefit pension plan Responsibilities Lead projects with stakeholders across the Claims West operation to enhance efficiency and address operational challenges, while supporting the business in effective execution and change management Assess operational challenges by gathering inputs from teams, reviewing performance indicators, mapping processes, and identifying root causes Reimagine outcomefocused processes, clarify decision points, and lead portfoliolevel performance Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives from ideation through implementation and control of solutions Build relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with teams and subjectmatter experts to assess the current state and define the future state, leveraging a common methodological framework Optimize claims management models and ways of working to enhance operational efficiency and service quality Propose creative business solutions and develop actionable recommendations; simplify and communicate complex concepts, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders ranging from frontline teams to senior executives Develop documentation and assets (tools, templates, analyses) to support recommendations and implementation Promote a continuous improvement culture within the organization Monitor outcomes by tracking agreed performance measures and surfacing insights and trends; partner with reporting/analytics teams as needed Facilitate working sessions and workshops (e.g., process redesign, prioritization, decisioning) to align stakeholders on current state, future state, and next steps Link initiatives with strong business acumen to identify risks and drive coherent execution Collect, research, extract, and structure data; perform statistical analyses (basic to advanced) and costbenefit analyses; compile and synthesize results Leverage insights on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and drive continuous organizational improvement Support on recurrent reports, including creation, development, modification, and production of reports in Excel, Power BI and other tools Create and present clear, concise, and persuasive datadriven narratives tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, using tools like PowerPoint to ensure effective communication of complex insights Provide strategic recommendations and insights through executivelevel presentations to leadership for informed decisionmaking Qualifications At least 58 years of experience in consulting, analysis, management, or a comparable role Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is an asset Experience in the insurance sector; experience in claims is an asset Ability to combine strategic thinking with rigorous delivery execution Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including presenting, with the ability to translate complex data and concepts for diverse stakeholders Proven analytical skills, strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset Strong interpersonal skills: team player with a positive attitude, ability to build relationships, and to give and receive constructive feedback Handson experience in project management and change management; ability to solve problems and influence to overcome resistance to change Intermediatetoadvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools (Power BI, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) Process mapping skills (intermediate to advanced); value stream mapping is an asset STEM education (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) preferred Comfortable with ambiguity No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada Equal Opportunity & Eligibility We are an equal opportunity employer.
