We are currently expanding our antibody discovery team; specifically, We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to lead phage displaybased antibody discovery work . This is an individual contributor position; the work requires on-site laboratory bench work at an upcoming Toronto site expansion. This is a key role responsible for establishing and executing phage display workflows. It is a hands-on, individual contributor position requiring strong technical ownership at the bench and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Position : Senior Research Associate Site :Toronto, Ontario, Canada Department :Molecular Biology Responsibilities The Senior Research Associate, Molecular Biology position entails working independently and in collaboration with other team members, under the direction of the department head, to: Plan and execute phage display panning experiments for antibody discovery Screen phages for binding activity (e.g. by PE-ELISA) Clone phage display antibody libraries Generate amplicon libraries for NGS analysis Troubleshoot methods, suggest improvements, and developnew technologiesfor project advancement; support the creation of SOPs asrequired Clearly communicate results in written reports and oral presentations Actively foster an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships within and across teams, and provide technical leadership in molecular biology methods Participate in team meetings toassistin the coordination of project and departmental activities Essential qualifications M.Sc. in a relevant field (such as immunology, genetics, cell biology, or molecular biology) with at least 6 years of experience in an industry environment, including at least 3 years in an antibody discovery role. Experience in phage display andbiopanning, including phagemid library cloning Experience with the design and execution of molecular biology techniques such as: DNA extraction (mini/midi/maxiprep) Sanger sequencing analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot experiments independently Ability to accurately follow SOPs and instructions, with strong attention to detail. Excellent time management skills, including the ability to effectively multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document all work clearly and completely Legally authorized to work in Canada Preferred Additionalexperience in molecular biology, antibodydiscoveryand/or antibody characterization (e.g. ELISA, SDS-PAGE, flow cytometry) is highly desirable Compensation & Benefits Salary: $95,000 $130,000 CAD (Based on experience, skills, and internal equity) Health and dental benefits Paid vacation and holidays Annual bonus and performance reviews Training and development opportunities Thank you for your interest.
