Agilus is recruiting for a Shop Technician in the Oil and Gas industry in Sherwood Park, Alberta.This Shop Technician role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who thrives in a hands-on shop and warehouse environment. Youll support equipment readiness, inventory control, and preventative maintenance while working independently at times with minimal supervision. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained, organized, and ready to support field operations safely and efficiently.Total rewards:Earn a competitive pay rate of $31.75/hrWork in a stable shop and warehouse environment on a long-term contractReceive company-provided PPE and safety equipmentGain exposure to industrial and refinery-related equipmentBuild long-term mechanical and equipment maintenance experienceWork with experienced operations and mechanical professionalsMaintain a consistent schedule in a non-rotational roleResponsibilities:Maintain shop inventory in an organized and efficient mannerPull, stage, and restock equipment and parts for projectsLoad and unload trucks and receive incoming deliveriesPerform preventative maintenance on shop and rental equipmentInspect equipment before and after each projectComplete minor equipment repairs as requiredReconcile returns against original shipping documentationDeliver equipment to job sites when neededRequirements:Operate a forklift safely and confidently and hold a valid forklift licenseUse hand tools for inspection, maintenance, and repairsDemonstrate mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical trainingWork independently with minimal supervisionMaintain strong organizational and inventory skillsUse computers comfortably for basic documentationHold a valid drivers license and reliable personal vehiclePass drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check
