Our manufacturing client just 20 minutes north of Barrie, ON is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional with proven experience in a unionized manufacturing environment who is looking to make a meaningful impact across recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.What We Offer:Competitive salary of $70,000 $80,000Comprehensive benefits packagePension plan (6-9%)vacation entitlementKey Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle recruitment for both hourly (unionized) and salaried positionsDevelop and implement targeted recruitment strategies and talent pipelinesPartner with colleges and training institutions to support workforce development initiativesCoordinate and facilitate onboarding for new hiresTrack and analyze HR metrics to support decision-makingProvide guidance on collective agreement interpretation and applicationSupport attendance management and progressive discipline processesConduct workplace investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendationsAssist with grievance management, including documentation and drafting responsesSupport collective bargaining preparation and documentationMaintain job descriptions and physical demands analysesEnsure compliance with ESA, AODA, and applicable employment legislationSupport STD claims administration and reportingAssist with policy development and HR program implementationQualifications:Post-graduate certificate in Human Resources AdministrationMinimum 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment a MUSTMandatory experience in a unionized settingStrong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including ESAExperience with ADP HRMS is an assetStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesIdeal Candidate:Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentComfortable working closely with supervisors and union representativesDemonstrates strong judgment and professionalism in employee relations mattersProactive, organized, and solutions-orientedIf you are an experienced HR professional with union and manufacturing experience looking to grow your career, we encourage you to apply.
