Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Automotive & Equipment Service Technician to support our clients New Product Introduction (NPI) operations. Reporting to the NPI Coordinator, this safetyfocused, selfdirected professional will provide handson maintenance and repair support for lightduty fleet vehicles and field equipment in remote operating environments.This FIFO role is ideal for a skilled Technician who thrives working independently, values safety excellence, and brings strong accountability to fleet and equipment reliability while collaborating effectively with site teams, safety leadership, and contracted resources.Location: Christina Lake, AB (Flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton)Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday to Wednesday)Job type: Temporary | Full-timeHere's why you should apply:Paid weekly accurate and on timeStrong health and safety programsMedical and dental benefits once qualifiedFree training programsNew and quicker onboarding processResponsibilities:Equipment Maintenance & RepairPerform routine and nonroutine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on client fleet and field equipment, including:Pickup trucksLight towersGeneratorsATVs and UTVsMiscellaneous mobile and stationary support equipmentConduct comprehensive inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faultsDiagnose issues and repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and OEM diagnostic platformsComplete postrepair testing to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and client safety specificationsPlanning, Coordination & DocumentationExecute assigned work in alignment with direction from the NPI Coordinator and site prioritiesAccurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and fleet recordsOrder parts and receive materials as needed to support maintenance activitiesProvide technical guidance, oversight, and quality assurance for contracted labour when requiredCollaborate closely with the Fleet Coordinator, Safety Leads, and site teams to ensure job plans reflect operational and safety requirementsSafety, Health & EnvironmentPlan and perform all work in strict accordance with client safety policies, including the STOPTHINKPLAN programActively participate in hazard identification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiativesReport incidents, near misses, and hazards in accordance with client protocolsSupport corrective and preventative action followupMaintain professionalism and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and cooperative work environmentQualifications and Skills:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years of Journeyman experience as an Automotive Service Technician or equivalentValid Class 5 Drivers License with Air Brake EndorsementCurrent H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certificationsExperience with Ford and Kubota equipmentPrior experience in oil & gas, mining, or remote industrial environmentsAbility to work independently without direct supervision in a remote FIFO environmentAdvanced vehicle diagnostics using OEM diagnostic platformsProven troubleshooting and repair experience in:Electrical systemsElectronic control systemsHydraulic systemsA/C systemsStrong proficiency with diagnostic tools, service documentation, and maintenance processesExperience servicing mixed lightduty and industrial equipment fleetsMust be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
