You will be responsible for developing and growing complex commercial risks and business by writing new business, managing a renewal portfolio and providing in-person consultations, and represent TSW at broker meetings, industry events, and client presentations while maintaining profitability, and delivering exceptional response time.If you are career-minded and looking for a dynamic work environment with a growth mindset, you will love working among our team!Your day as a Senior Commercial Underwriter:Underwrite complex commercial P&C risks with a focus on profitability and complianceProvide mentorship and technical support to peersCollaborate with internal teams to develop tailored insurance solutionsEvaluate risks and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines, risk appetite, and pricing strategies.Develop and maintain relationships with broker and clients, providing exceptional customer service and delivering value-added solutions.Manage the submission, quoting, and binding processes for new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.Collaborate with other underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to drive profitable growth and achieve assigned monthly sales goals.Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.Analyze market trends and broker feedback to identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to attract new business.Our Ideal CandidateMinimum 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial P&C underwriting.CIP designation or equivalent, and/or actively working toward completing this designation.Proven record of achieving underwriting profitability and growth targets.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated interest in and ability to travel locally for broker meetings and events.Strong analytical and negotiation skills.Flexibility and the ability to prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.Ability to work well independently, as part of a team, and with others throughout the organization.Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.Proficiency in data analysis and Excel.Experience with data visualization tools is an asset.The expected salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $135,000. Annual salary will be determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidates skills to the role.
