Position Summary:Lakeside Contracting is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch operations. This role is responsible for coordinating field teams, managing schedules, and ensuring that crews, equipment, and materials are deployed efficiently while maintaining full regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee daily dispatch operations for field crews and service teams Coordinate scheduling of personnel, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites Act as the primary point of contact between field staff, project managers, and clients Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to address delays, emergencies, or changing priorities Supervise and support dispatch staff, including training and performance management Ensure compliance with Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) regulations and company policies Monitor and maintain the companys Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration (CVOR) standing, including tracking violations, safety performance, and required documentation Coordinate driver logs, hours of service, and vehicle compliance requirements Maintain accurate records of work orders, schedules, dispatch logs, and regulatory documentation Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime Handle escalations and resolve scheduling or service issues promptly Qualifications:35+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or operations within construction, transportation, or a related industry Proven experience in a supervisory or management role Strong understanding of scheduling, routing, and resource allocation Working knowledge of MTO regulations, CVOR requirements, and hours-of-service rules Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with dispatching or scheduling software and Microsoft Office Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications:Experience coordinating construction crews or trades Knowledge of local routes and the Greater Toronto Area Familiarity with Ontario health and safety regulations Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience Health and dental benefits Opportunities for advancement within a growing company How to Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter to with the subject line: Dispatch Manager Lakeside Contracting Company Limited.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
