Preszler Injury Lawyers only represents Plaintiffs.Position SummaryThe Junior Associate Lawyer supports the litigation team by assisting senior counsel on active files, helping move matters forward and contributing to more complex litigation tasks under supervision. This role is ideal for a new call or early-career lawyer who is eager to learn plaintiff-side personal injury practice, sharpen advocacy skills, and build strong client relationships.Key Responsibilities Assist senior counsel with preparation and progression of plaintiff personal injury files at all stages (pre-litigation and litigation).Draft, revise, and proof core litigation materials (pleadings, correspondence, motion records, affidavits, undertakings responses).Support preparation for discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and hearings (briefs, chronologies, document briefs, production summaries).Review and summarize key documents (medical records, accident benefits materials, expert reports, income loss and damages documentation).Coordinate evidence development and follow-ups (record requests, scheduling, liaising with experts/treaters, tracking outstanding items).Maintain file organization and ensure deadlines are diarized and met (limitations, service timelines, undertakings, follow-ups).Collaborate with legal staff to keep files moving efficiently and in line with firm standards.QualificationsRequired13 years of experience in personal injury litigation, insurance, or related areasLicensed and in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioStrong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a client-first mindset.High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.PreferredExposure to mediations, discoveries, motion practice, or trial prep.Comfortable reviewing medical records and working with experts.Familiarity with accident benefits law.
