This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including labor and employee relations, recruitment, learning & development, compensation, performance management, and more.Responsibilities:Provide leadership, ensuring employees have the tools and environment for success.Foster positive relationships across departments, emphasizing Lean and continuous improvement.Develop a solid understanding of our products and collaborate with people leaders for effective relations.Manage recruitment, selection, and retention processes.Stay updated on employment-related codes, acts, and regulations.Oversee collective agreement administration and represent the company in grievance processes.Lead initiatives to improve relations between management and union.Support an engaging employment strategy and coordinate training programs.Lead the ability management program and promote health & wellness.Contribute to HR metrics reporting and technology utilization.Collaborate with the Leadership Team for effective implementation of HR initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.CPHR Designation or working towards completion.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP designation is considered an asset.Minimum of 7 years in Human Resources.Minimum of 5 years in Labour Relations.Experience in a unionized environment.Comprehensive understanding of employment standards and human rights legislation.Strong understanding of HR practices and applicable collective agreements.Experience in a highly autonomous role with broad People-function responsibilities.Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is an asset.Benefits:Competitive compensation package: $120,000-$140,000 per year.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, critical illness, mental health coverage, and more.5 Days in office roleBonus potential and 6% RSSP Matching.Managing a small HR team of 4.
