This is a foundational role with the mandate to design scalable hiring systems, implement bestinclass processes, and ensure every hire strengthens the organizations culture and mission.If you thrive in fastpaced, highgrowth environments and are passionate about building highperforming teams, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.ResponsibilitiesLead fullcycle recruitment across all departments, from intake and scorecard development to sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiation.Partner with senior leadership to define headcount plans, hiring priorities, and role requirements aligned with business objectives.Build and continuously refine structured hiring processes, interview frameworks, and evaluation criteria.Manage and optimize the ATS, ensuring strong pipeline management, candidate communication, and data integrity.Develop proactive talent pipelines for highpriority and hardtofill roles through sourcing tools, networking, partnerships, and events.Own employer branding strategy across LinkedIn, Glassdoor, job boards, and industry channels.Conduct screening interviews and coordinate the full interview lifecycle to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.Train and coach hiring managers on behavioral interviewing, scorecard evaluation, and compliance.Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI.Collaborate with HR and Finance on offer approvals, compensation benchmarking, and onboarding workflows.Stay current on talent acquisition trends, tools, and AIenabled recruiting technologies.Ensure all hiring practices comply with employment legislation in Canada and the United States.Qualifications510 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or standalone ownership role.Proven success hiring across technical, commercial, and operational functions in a highgrowth startup or scaleup environment.Strong expertise in structured interviewing methodologies; experience with Topgrading or similar frameworks is an asset.Handson experience with ATS platforms (e.g., Breezy HR, Greenhouse, Lever) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.Solid understanding of employment law and hiring compliance in both Canada and the U.S.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Datadriven approach with experience optimizing recruiting KPIs.Experience in construction technology, IoT, SaaS, or related B2B industries is an advantage.Bachelors degree required; HR certifications (CHRP, SHRMCP, or equivalent) are a plus.Why JoinStrong worklife balanceCollaborative, dynamic, and missiondriven team environmentOpportunity to contribute to innovative and impactful technology solutionsCompetitive compensation, benefits, and discretionary stock optionsComprehensive health and dental coverageAnnual allowance for training and professional developmentLocation: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 13 days/week) Department: People & Talent Reports To: Chief Financial Officer Compensation: $110,000 $140,000Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Artificial intelligence (AI) is not used to screen, assess, or make hiring decisions for this role.
