The Role As part of the Fresh Air Cinema BC team, youll be an integral part of bringing outdoor movie events to life. Youll help with everything from event setup to operation and teardown while working alongside a supportive team and management. We are looking for hardworking, good natured individuals to join our team for the coming summer season. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and tear down AV equipment at outdoor movie events. Ensure all event setups are completed to client specifications in an efficient and timely manner. Drive company trucks and trailers to event locations across the province. Operate sound and projection equipment during events. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth event operations. Interact with clients and the public in a professional, friendly manner. Maintain and develop positive relationships with clients and audiences. Handle light to heavy lifting as required for event setup and tear down. Complete event reports, including job reports and expenses paperwork. Travel to various locations throughout the province, including evening shifts and weekend work. Skills & Qualifications AV experience (working with projectors, sound systems) is an asset but not required. Driving experience and a valid drivers license is required; Class5 drivers license is preferred. Ability to drive large trucks and tow a cargo trailer is a valued asset. Event experience is an asset but not required. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and during evening hours. Ability to lift 50lbs. Reliable transportation to and from the south Langley office is required (location is not transitaccessible). Strong work ethic, responsibility, and organization. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Hours of Work These are seasonal fulltime and parttime positions based out of our head office & shop in Langley, but our movie night events happen throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and even the Interior of British Columbia. You should be available to work/travel any days and evenings. Mostly evenings and weekends, but not limited to. 8 - 12hrs/day, approx 40+ hours/week Paid training starts in June and the season runs seven days a week through to the end of August, with select shifts continuing into September and October weekends and occasional weekdays for those who wish to stay on into the Fall. Typical Day Meet your team at the base/shop in Langley. Drive our company truck & trailer to the outdoor event location (Vancouver, Lower Mainland, Interior, Vancouver Island). Setup the screen and equipment in the afternoon. Operate the sound and projection equipment youll be putting on the show! Tear down the event and return to shop.
