Assisted Living and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, services for the homeless, continuing care services, and other social-based programs. This ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families. Responsibilities Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Services, your strategic leadership will propel the transformation of client and user experience in the delivery of social services. You will provide strategic direction on key innovation initiatives and direct the strategic and tactical planning, development and management of the Ministrys information system. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement and process modernization of department IT systems, system coordination and quality assurance processes, and monitoring and enhancing pathways. Collaboration with a wide network of key stakeholders, including Ministry divisions, external partners, and the department of Technology and Innovation, ensures that client and financial systems are improved for simpler, modern and accessible digital services for low-income and vulnerable Albertans. Your leadership will guide a team in ensuring the planning and implementation of the digital roadmap goals for modernization and continuous improvement of business and information technology systems with a user-centric lens. Qualifications Your background includes significant senior management experience overseeing complex front-line social service programs within a large public-sector environment. You have strong financial management expertise and a solid understanding of citizencentred service delivery models. As an influential leader, you have demonstrated experience leading complex program initiatives, fostering stakeholder collaboration, ensuring program, policy, and financial compliance, and building highperforming teams. Knowledge of social programs and service delivery is considered an asset. A related degree in computer science, social or health sciences, business, or public policy is preferred. Compensation $5,896.65 - $7,749.28 biweekly ($153,902.57 to $202,256.21 annually) Additional Information Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening.
